The Work We Do
It About Families started as a free annual community event in 2012 at Liberty Park in Grovetown, Georgia, serving more than 2000 with fellowship, food, fun. As time progressed, we saw the community in need of gang intervention, teen mentorship, and a program to deal with food insecurity. After eight years of serving the CSRA with food, teen mentorship, free marital counseling, teacher care packages, back-to-school supplies, and much more, we formally established our Community Development Corporation in 2020. Since the official formation of It's About Family Inc., we've fed more than 238,000 people in the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area), provided more than 1,800 students with back-to-school supplies, and given scholarships to local college students. We plan to expand our touch and provide a hands on opportunity to anyone desiring to love, serve, and build their community.

Office Hours
Monday - Thursday 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM
Food Pantry Distribution Days & Times
Tuesday- Thursday Time: 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM
To be served, please join the car line located in the field.
First Time Patrons: An assistant will be available in the field to gather your name, address, phone number, total number of persons in your household, and the number of people age 60 or older and/or age 18 or younger in your household.
Volunteer Opportunity
Our organization welcomes volunteers aged 13 and older who are interested in volunteering with our organization.
Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes when working in the warehouse.
